Save Migration
TL;DR
If you want to keep your current save game, you'll need to export it via the Options menu by ~15:00 UTC tomorrow (18th January). After this update, saves will automatically carry over to new versions.
Explanation
For those of you who missed the discussions in the comments and on the Discord Server, I only learned recently that Unity's default approach to saving causes the data to be stored in a different location for each version uploaded on Itch (other sites are unaffected). This means that (so far), each time I uploaded a new version of the game, everyone had to restart the game from scratch unless they'd already exported their save.
The good news is, I've found out how to force Unity to always save its data in the same location, allowing saves to be carried across versions. The bad news is, the next update (v0.2.6) will still be unable to find any previous save data. This new version has already been put through its paces by my wonderful testers on Discord, so I'm confident it's mostly issue-free already. But I wanted to give people a chance to export their saves before I upload it, so:
I'll be uploading v0.2.6 at ~15:00 UTC tomorrow (18th January). If you don't want to lose your save, you'll have to export it via the options menu before then. Once you import it into v0.2.6, you (hopefully) won't need to go through this just to keep your save in the future.
Terraformental
Try to survive and perhaps eventually even tame an unknown planet in this incremental semi-idle game.
